Julian Dines
Head of Innovations, Higgs Centre for Innovation
Julian overseas the various activities at the Higgs Centre. He is involved in the selection process for companies applying for incubation, being the Chair of the Higgs Business Incubation Centre selection board and Technical Expert for the ESA Business Incubation Centre UK. His technical background is useful in directing companies towards suitable Test Facilities. However, he spends much of his time supporting networking and Open Innovation activities – bringing together SMEs, larger companies, government bodies, academics, etc – with an aim to grow the regional high-tech ecosystems, particularly in space and robotics.
Ruairidh Henderson
Business Incubation Manager, Higgs Centre for Innovation
Ruairidh runs the incubation programme for start-ups at The Higgs Centre for Innovation. As a former founder turned investor, he has lots of experience managing and supporting early-stage businesses through the trials and tribulations of raising investment, product development, market entry and scale up.
Donald Macleod
Business Development Manager, UK Astronomy Technology Centre
After studying Astronomy at the University of Glasgow, Donald has had a diverse career across financial Technology, Renewable Energy and Astronomy / Satellite technology. In his current role he is responsible for STFC’s Business and Innovation activities, including technology transfer projects, Incubation and commercialisation activities.
Euan Harvey
Business Development Manager, The Higgs Centre for Innovation
Euan manages access to the Higgs Centre’s facilities and supports organisations in accessing wider STFC national laboratories and testing facilities. In this role, he helps organisations connect with the skills, equipment, and infrastructure they need to drive growth in the UK’s space and technology sectors. He also plays an active role in advancing sustainability within the global space industry, serving as a board member of the Environmental Task Force. In addition, Euan chairs Space Scotland’s Infrastructure and Facilities working group, which focuses on ensuring organisations can access the facilities required to enable growth.Contact Us
